pinspiration
I think I need to write a letter to pinterest to thank them for all the ways they have helped me find inspiration -- from fashion to cooking to photography to fonts to wedding planning for sis to... well, just about everything. I mean, can you even imagine a world without pinterest? I really can't. Anywhoo when I ran across this really simple outfit (see original pin by clicking here) I thought this might be one I could possibly pull of. Plus, added bonus, I already had the perfect blouse from Karen Kane. So here is my rendition of the simple style pin:
blouse c/o Karen Kane // jorts: made from old jeans // bag: fossil
sandals: target // dachshund ring c/o unexpected expectancy
Magnolia was definitely having a "I just want mommy and I want her every waking second" kind of day yesterday, but I sure didn't mind -- she really does make everything cuter. (I wonder what she'll think of these style posts of mine when she is older -- probably that I'm crazy and vain, but hopefully a tiny bit hip too?... ah my mind wanders...)
Anywhoo - super fun playing dress up from pinterest. I had fun putting my own little spin on it with items I already had. I'm not really a bangle person (my hands are too small and they won't stay on) so I added a statement ring to the ensemble. I've never had a two finger ring before so I'm feeling pretty fly for a white guy (remember that song!?). If you haven't stumbled upon Unexpected Expectancy yet than you are missing out. They've got unique accessories that you can be sure you won't see coming and going. Not only will you be setting trends with their pieces, but you'll always have a quick conversation starter. "Is that a wiener dog on your hand?..."
