Q: Tell us about the name behind your blog/shop?

A: I started my blog as many do as a way to keep in touch with family as we moved away from home. "From the Aisle to Aloha" originally was about the journey my husband and I took two years ago from the wedding aisle to this beautiful island we now call home. It's since been shortened to "Aisle to Aloha" and yeah, I'll probably keep the name even after we leave. I'm sure we'll always be on some sort of journey and I'd love to keep a little aloha with us.

Q: Favorite 3 things about blogging?

A: My very favorite thing about blogging definitely has to be the people I've had the opportunity to meet. So many beautiful, creative souls in this blogging world and I'm blessed to know just a few of them. I also love having a place to share my heart, projects and our adventures and of course, gathering inspiration from my friends' blogs keeps me going when my own inspiration dies down.

Q: What are your creative muses?

A: I'm so inspired by color-- and there is definitely no shortage of it here in Hawaii! I love finding new favorite color combinations through fashion, in nature and just in everyday life.

Q: What do you love most about Hawaii?

A: I think most of what I love about Hawaii is the obvious stuff-- the surf, the sun, the delicious breezes. But I also love that it's home to us. The feeling we get when we fly in after a long trip doesn't have much to do with Hawaii and more so just that we are finally home.

Q: If you could put your art on any celebrities wall, who would you pick?

A: Ooh, I love Zooey Deschanel. I bet I could come up with something awesomely quirky for her walls!

Q: If you could shop at just one store the rest of your life... where would you pick?

A: Would it be too predictable to say Anthropologie? This is assuming I have unlimited funds, too, right?? ;)

Q: Can you share with us any of your future dreams? - for your shop, your home, your family?...

A: Oh man, I hope the future holds lots of babies for us. And maybe a gallery showing for my art. And this afternoon, I think I could go for some FroYo-- mmm, red velvet flavor with cheesecake bites and Rice Krispies!
