Wiggles {O Christmas Tree}


Happy 1st day of December everyone!  Oh I love the season of advent -- awaiting the birth of our precious Savior.  David and I got our tree up on Sunday (see some of our past trees HERE and HERE) and I so love it.  Our ornament collection is quite eclectic - some from friends to help us out on our first Christmas, some from wal-mart just to take up bare space, wedding presents, and then there are LOTS of puppy ornaments.  The reason for all the puppies?  Each year my mom gives us all an ornament that is part of a series.  Usually a series will only run a few years, but apparently not the puppies -- I've received a puppy ornament since 1991! (thats a lot of puppies).  But we love our tree and have so much fun each year as new things are added.

    I like the ides of adding something new every year very much! It's much more special than buying everything at once! Lovely post :) Oh and I'm just listening to the songs and getting into a christmas-y mood :)

    oh i can't wait for this weekend! for the first time ever the mister and i are going to go hunting for a christmas cactus! we had been talking about it for some time and this year we are going to do it! and when christmas is over we will pot our little beauty and put it on our porch!

    I know a group of gals who have been exchanging ornaments with each other since high school (and we're in our 40s). I think by now they must have a tree just for these. I'm not part of that group but I think it's a fun thing - like your doggy tradition.

    Beautiful tree. We have a theme as well. My husband has been getting Santa's from his family every year since he was 10. Last year we decided to make nothing but a Santa tree.
