Q: tell me about the name of your shop?

A: Blonde is a synonym for gold and Peacock because I love birds, especially peacocks. I think peacocks are beautiful birds and symbolize alot, such as wholeness, beauty, dignity, and resurrection. I knew that I would want to incorporate birds, feathers, and peacocks into my designs so I thought that Blonde Peacock suited my vision well.

Q: What about buenes airies has inspired your creations?

A: Everything... the art, fashion, culture, music, and people. It's a place that is driven by design. There are many plazas where artisans sell their crafts and handmade goods.  It was inspiring to see this. When I returned to the U.S., I learned how to screen print, made a bunch of tank and panty sets, took a train to NYC and sold them on the street in Brooklyn. That's how I starting selling my items.

Q: What is your favorite thing to create? Whats the most challenging?

A: I like printing on undergarments. The design usually takes up all of the printing surface and I like small things...I'm going to be launching a baby clothing line soon and I think its for the same reason; small things are cute.

Q: Favorite music to listen to when crafting?

A: Lately I have been listening to Gigi, Carla Bruni, and some jazz.

Q: Do you have any other shops or websites that sell your work.

A: Yes. There are some art gallery/boutiques that sell my line on the east coast. I'm also on facebook.  I am working on getting my work in to more boutiques, but just letting things happen organically. I don't want to rush anything.
