Wiggles {come on fall}
{Soak up those last rays of Summer. Fall is coming and I couldn't be happier!}
{This is what I imagine i'll be doing in a couple months}
I have an ongoing love affair with fall. Everything about it makes me swoon and i'm in a constant state of giddiness. The smells, the weather, the clothing, the way the sun shines, college football, the leaves... Fall blows all the other seasons out of the water! It has been sooo hot lately, but with last night's rain it was only 76 when I woke up -- so today i'm going to pretend fall has started.
I love soft contemplative music in the fall (well that and bluegrass) so today my music wiggle is Rosie Thomas. Listen {HERE}.
A few blogs that make me happy:
I love being introduced to new music and bloggers. What should I listen to and who should I visit next?

Fall is my very favorite time of year. This post made me want to cozy up in a warm sweater and sip coffee on the porch!
ReplyDeleteRosie Thomas is my absolute favorite! She's amazing. I also really love Sara Watkins (1/3 of Nickel Creek) she has her own album out (self-titled) and it's really, very beautiful. You should check it out!
ReplyDeleteI am having a fabulous summer, but I'm with you - Fall is the best! Especially here in New England. Can't wait! I think we have pretty similar music tastes based on who I've seen you post before, so it's hard to know who you might not know. Along the same lines as Rosie Thomas, there's EastMountainSouth. If you like a girl with a guitar, check out Antje Duvekot. If you want a little more bluegrass, you must check out Crooked Still. And if you want a new blog, come check out mine! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHere in northern california, summer has been anything BUT summer. It's been raining, cloudy, and all-around COLD! So, I'm definitely looking forward to fall where the cold, crisp weather would be accompanied by pretty leaves and pumpkin spice drinks at starbucks!
ReplyDeleteYay for fall! I love the second picture and the idea of getting dressed up for a picnic.

I, too, have an ongoing love affair with fall. I'm a different person when summer turns into fall...the weather and the smells and the feelings bring back so many good memories for me. In fact, my screensaver at work right now is a winding mountain road covered in different colored leaves!
ReplyDeleteThank you Blair! I'm honored. So glad we found each other through the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteI got all caught up listening to the music, then I had to go out to my Pandora station and add Rosie because I'm in love with the music - almost forgot to come back and comment. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteFall, oh my wonderful Fall. You know summer in Phoenix is so brutal that Fall is the most welcome time. I can go outside again. Can't wait.
Fall is also my favorite season!! I love the cider, the lightweight sweaters & pumpkin pie!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt finally hit 90 degrees today in Southern Cal...second time this summer. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteSoon enough it'll be time for pumpkin spice lattes!!
xoox,
Carrie
Do you listen to Jose Gonzalez? He's a fave of mine.
I too, am a big fat fall lover. It's the best. I don't even like football but I love the idea of college football and the smell of fall leaves, ah, this is killing me.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love fall too! The clothes, the food, the drink, the hockey {I'll substitute that for college football :)}, I love it all.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog and for following. I'm a follower of yours as well :)
Hope you're having a great week!
Oh, I am sooooo there. I am a fall girl, hands down. Changing leaves, cool, crisp air, trail running, camping, hiking, and the delish fall recipes!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't ready for fall to come because I have been enjoying summer so much... until my ragweed allergy started acting up. Boo! I love fall... the colors, the chill in the air, wearing sweaters, leaves changing colors, Halloween. It's my favorite season!
ReplyDeletebeautiful. esp the picnic pic.

I look forward to the colours of autumn, too. Thank you so much for the link-through. Love your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Blair!,
ReplyDeleteOdd to think that fall's coming in the states. Down in Oz we're just entering Spring. Enjoy the changing leaves in Nashville and all the good things the city gains with the seasons change. Giving you a two-for on the question check out: http://valsdaily.wordpress.com/ for a solid music blog. If you've got your music fix and could just use some reading give http://delagoes.wordpress.com/ a look and let me know what you think. Send David, Oscar, and tt my love (in that order).
Peace,
d
I just adore Autumn - the painterly leaves of red and gold, the charming picnics at nearby estates, the Autumn sky and last but not least - The fashion of the season;-)
ReplyDeleteI quite love fall too! :D
ReplyDeleteI must go shopping soon and buy more fall clothes, haha.
Oh fall, I am not quite ready to give up sunshine (maybe because we haven't had much of a summer this year, booo) but I am definitely looking forward to comfy sweaters soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog. So lovely to "meet" you. I'm loving your blog and looking forward to reading more!
